Winter Art

Sorry I haven’t blogged in a while, just the usual excuse of Christmas mayhem.  We have done lots of winter art over the holiday, some linked with our Advent activities (see this previous blog) but I didn’t take any tutorial photos for them.  That said they are pretty self explanatory.  The snowflake art above was really simple and Big and Little Boo really enjoyed it.  Simply masking tape a snowflake shape on some canvas and then paint the whole thing in shades of blue and white paint, remove tape and voila – a beautiful snowy scene… These turned out so well we have had them on the mantelpiece for a while.

I also made some snowflake tea light holders using a couple of tumblers and a porcelain pen, they were really fun to make and I was surprised at how well they turned out, would be great to do with older children.
