These colourful pictures are just the thing to create on a sunny day. Sadly it wasn’t all that brought here today, but we still had fun making them. Big Boo enjoyed creating a ‘transformer robot’ (!) picture, whilst Little Boo had fun shouting out colour names randomly as she stuck.
They are so easy to make. You simply need:
Sticky backed plastic (or contact paper)
Tissue paper in different colours.
Just cut an aperture in the card, cover it in the plastic and place in front of your child, sticky side up. They can create pictures, abstracts, whatever they like. Once they are finished simply sandwich they tissue with another piece of plastic to stick it all together. Then all you need to do is tac them to a window and enjoy. They really do look pretty, the pictures don’t do them justice.
We went for our after dark walk and left the kitchen light on so that we could look in on our colourful creations too. You could have lots of fun theming these… Pink paper in a heart shape for valentines; shades of the same colour; creating specific shapes… Let me know if you try any of these, I would love to see them!
